What I Do Now
I help organizations build great software at scale. My work spans:
- Enterprise Architecture & Transformation — Working with large organizations to modernize their engineering practices, define platform strategies, and build high-performing teams
- AI Engineering — Building with AI, exploring what works in production, and figuring out how these tools change the craft
- Building Products — Still scratching that founder itch, always exploring ideas at the intersection of AI and developer tools
The Journey
Leadership
I’ve led engineering organizations as Senior Director and Head of Engineering—first at a high-velocity e-commerce company focused on acquisitions, then at a growing professional services firm driving AI-powered transformation. These roles taught me how to align teams around metrics, mentor engineers, and translate business context into technical decisions.
Founder Life
I co-founded Shaztra, where we built AI-driven testing tools that let teams automate complex UI workflows using natural language—no scripting required. We even got a patent out of it.
Shaztra taught me everything about what not to do as an engineering-minded founder. Business, people, fundraising, sales—I could write a book. The hardest lessons are the ones you don’t learn in code.
Before Shaztra, I co-founded AppInitio (2012-2013), my first taste of startup life.
Netflix
The best engineering gig of my life.
At Netflix (2016-2021), I worked on the TV App team building:
- Localization infrastructure — Making Netflix speak every language
- On-demand code bundling — Delivering JavaScript to TV and web apps efficiently
- Node.js platform — Building, optimizing, and scaling the Node.js infrastructure that powered Netflix
Netflix showed me firsthand why talent density matters. When everyone around you is exceptional, you level up faster than you thought possible.
Earlier Career
Before Netflix, I spent nearly a decade across enterprise and startup worlds:

- Net.Orange → NantHealth — Startup acquisition journey, healthcare data integration
- Smartek21 — Fortune 500 client work (Samsung America)
